In the last of the 6 part series, we dive into Yield – where your hard work comes to fruition. This last stage of The FAY WAY to Marketing talks about harvest time. Identifying your target market is important as it avoids elements of hope marketing – that bit of marketing where you throw stuff at a wall, hope it sticks and your target market sees and hears about you.

However, identifying your target market can be hard task.

As with all stages in the FAY WAY to Marketing, I want marketing to be easier. The Fay Way puts you on the right track to achieving marketing momentum.

Marketing is the cornerstone of any successful business – it really is the foundation upon which you base your business on.

But marketing is HUGE, nine little letters that pack a massive punch for every business.

In this episode, I introduce you to the philosophy of marketing and the definition that I’ve been using since I taught marketing several years ago.

Just as a house needs strong foundations, a business needs a solid marketing strategy to survive and thrive. A strategy that will stand the test of time and the winds of change.

This podcast was inspired by two quotes; the first one was one I posted for my weekly Monday Motivation post on all my social channels and the second was on I saw on Forbes Facebook.

What did they have in common?

Customers and relationships.

This podcast is the start in a series of podcasts dedicated to relationship marketing.

I have been a firm believer in Relationship Marketing since the early 2000s, having wrote a thesis on Relationship Marketing in the Airline Industry for my Masters of Business Studies in the Smurfit Business School in 2002.

Lets just say, marketing principles don’t change. :-)

In this podcast, which gives you food for thought on your own relationship marketing strategy, we talk about three things:

1. What is relationship marketing

2. Three reasons why you should put the relationship back into relationship marketing

3. Three questions to ask yourself about relationship marketing

Marketing in February, for so many businesses, centres on Valentines Day.

This podcast is dedicated to marketing post Valentines Day...giving you exactly two weeks to maximise your marketing to create momentum.

In this podcast, I share three strategies to get your marketing springing forward.

1.The first strategy I give you is all about love. After all, love is all around us...and what I’d like for you is that customers start associating your company, message, brand with a brand that they love.

There are five categories of love that I talk about – from ‘OMG, the best brand ever’ to ‘Who??”.

And then I give you three tips on how to go build your personality around your YOU factor.

2. The second strategy relates to content and getting out there by writing some original content.

YOU are the only one that has the expertise, experience and life lessons that you have gained. No amount of AI can replace that.

So share it between now and the end of February. I give you some ideas here.

3. The last strategy is often overlooked – promoting a product or service.

This podcast has actionable, pratical strategies and tips to action immediately and betweeen now and the end of February.

So while you may or may not munch on a chocolate or two, sip a glass of bubbles or just kick back and order dinner in, take a listen and decide which strategy to implement.

2023 saw me start the year a little differently than others. 

I had wanted to Kickstart 2023 but through one thing and another, it didn't happen. Instead of panicing and doing what I call panic promotion, I surprised myself.

I decided to plan. 

Not panic. 

Not procrastinate.
